I like the idea of it, but honestly, I think it needs a little bit of work..
(These are just suggestions)
I think that it would look better if it were more bold (use ink, Sharpie, etc.)-you have a lot of green in America and Canada (things like your tree doesn't really "pop") so I think that ink would help that stand out more. I think that your words below the Earth should be in ink as well. I think that you should also go into a bit more detail with each little image-I do not want to say that the images look "childish" but I think that they could look a lot more interesting (and still stay fairly simple).
lol i did this super quick, first draft. I wanted opinions because I didnt want to spend time on it if it wasnt good. ya know? And im graphic design, so this will go on the computer anyways.
I like the idea a lot. I think the first line of the ad copy is great. Art Education is an equity issue. The wealthier you are the more access to the arts you have. Wealthy kids at private schools get art programs, usually K-12 and parents can afford private lessons and camps. The second line could work depending on the final imagery you end up choosing. If someone asked you how art education "saves the world," what would you tell them? Try to capture whatever your response would be with the imagery you choose. If you don't have answer to how it saves the world then I would ask other people for their opinions before you get to settled on imagery. Great start. Very detailed sketch.
Thanks! I really like this idea, but I'm not completely set on this first draft. I'm probably going to mess with it A LOT before I'm actually satisfied with it. (:

ReplyDeleteI mostly wanted opinions on the idea. Not just how well I drew it. I am quite aware that I can not draw well.
